Richard came to inspect the roof on the Friday and offered to do the work over the weekend, weather permitting, for £120 inclusive of materials and labour. As Sunday was the best day for dry weather, he came around mid-morning and worked on our roof for about three hours, replacing the damaged ridge tile, reseating (cementing) the other ridge tiles, replacing moisture barrier, checking all of our roof tiles and removing and replacing a disused heating vent. Prompt, pleasant, polite, professional! Excellent!

Matthew overcharged for materials. He told me he paid £40 at Screwfix for the spikes. I was shocked and asked for a copy of the receipt but he didn't provide it. I did pay him in cash for the work then checked the price at Screwfix. The cost is £29.99 not £40. As a result, I cannot recommend him.

Some of the work was good like the trimming of the shrub and bushes. The weeding was hopeless as they have not been pulled up by the roots and some of it was not touched at all. Some of my plants were trampled on and the rose stems forcefully pushed through the obelisk were broken in their hurry to finish by five. Didnt turn up to quote twice. Then only wanted to do the part of the job not requiring planning approval. Tried to talk me into getting the work done then putting in the drop kerb at a later date (pointless as I still wouldnt have any legal access to the drive!) not that I had any confidence in him returning to do the 2nd part anyway.
