with due respect,the front/back yards have since been pruned to professional standards without hacking the blooms-the work got done within a set time limit, as quoted by 2 different companies.what you proposed to do over more hours during maintenance was actually completed within 6 hours by a lady gardner,who achieved in the span of 4 hours,what may have taken you about 7-8 hours (we estimate) to bring the yards to the current standard, based on the parameters of efficiency and work quality you provided.

Diane appears to know abt plants - but inefficient at managing hours to complete job undertaken.she took 4 hours to complete part of the job-estimated at 2 hours by others.get a quote from diane for the job,rather than paying hourly.get estimates from a few people, to average no.of hours required for the job, so that we have a ballpark for what we should be spending on the gardening work at hand,unless you are experienced in gardening.do not pay until the job is fully completed.work not worth £20/hour rate.

With respect Shruti there is a difference between hacking and proffesional pruning which is time consuming when done properly. You wanted me to hack down a beautiful garden which was florishing and in full bloom and I said I would rather not take your money than do this, especially as it is not your garden.
