I would just like to add that u did try and call you back but went to voicemail. You asked for the fan to have a permanent supply which it did, you never once asked me for the fan to be on an independent switch. I told you I would get a plumber to get in touch with you and passed your details on (not my job really) . Anyhow, well done on your 1 star and invalid negative comment, it looks very lonely beside all the 5 stars ????

I did ** (not 'u')

The job brief was: "Install humidity sensing extractor fan in bathroom (this requires additional wiring over and above the current fan)." The manual was left with you which shows the circuit diagrams to connect it correctly. We communicated via WhatsApp. You read my messages but never responded. I never received voicemail messages from you or from the plumber you said would contact me. If you would like to come and install the fan correctly then I am more than happy to update the review accordingly.

Yes.. it did require additional wiring as you only had a switch wire controlling the existing fan.. the humidity fan required a permanent feed which was then taken from a permanent supply and then to the fan. it doesn't state on the instructions that the fan should be on its own circuit and there are certainly no regulations stating that it should be either, so when I've not been told to put it on an independent switch, why would I?
TRADESPERSON, 21/07/2022 08:54
I'm not an electrician so don't know about circuitry or wiring which is why I hired an electrician to install the fan. I don't think it's unreasonable for me to expect that you would install the fan in accordance with the instructions and the manual. If it had been then it would work as intended.
