What is a good bath?

Posted by Martin Williams, on
I would like a good quality standard shape and size bath. What is a long lasting material that is thermally advantageous, robust? I have considered a steel bath. What does it mean a single-sided bath? What is it imply no tap holes? I would like the taps to be now in the middle so that I can have a shower from the taps in the middle what affect does this have on my choice?

as a plumber i always recomend taps at the ends of baths unless there is access from behind there are very few quality taps out there and replacing them in five years will require the bath to be removed i always recomend pressed steel baths for there longevity but they are not thermaly efficent good plastic/resin baths are better thermally but more expensive, i would never recomend the cheaper plastic baths expect to pay over £250 for a good plastic bath
