Hello, I'm employing a company from your site and they are asking me 80%payment on the first week and remainder on the second week. Is this correct or is there a guideline on how much we should give ? Thanks

Hi Elena, As per our homeowner checklist (rated.co.uk/checklist) we do advise that a "deposit should be less than 20% of the overall job price but enough to cover the tradesperson’s tools, materials and travel costs."
