hey Deborah This can be done however it can sometimes be difficult to get a nice finish to the edge of the tray and in my past experience seeing this be done can sometimes look odd. i would recommend replacing the tray rather than trying cover up the existing crack. if you could source a like for like shower tray it should be a simple job to take the old one out and install the new tray.
