It sound as though that either the floor or basin is not level, as they are designed to fit closely together to support the basin. Get tradesman back to put right, he may have to wedge the bottom of the pedestal.

My bathroom is being renewed and I have noticed that the there is a gap between the pedestal and the sink, it's not an even gap and the pedestal doesnt stand securely. It doesn't look right to me, can you please advise. Regards Katy
