Bath waste off-centre

Posted by Alan , on
My plumber installed my bath waste off-centre and therefore not level with the bottom of the bath and then siliconed it in that position, so now you're left with a puddle in the recess the waste goes in when the bath is empty. These are delicate gold fittings and I need to know whether there is a gentle way of releasing the waste form the silicone without damage?

It is usually possible to remove the waste without damaged especially if hasn’t been fitted for a long time
