Grout down our pipework in our new ensuitr

Posted by Anna , on
Hello, our new ensuite shower doesn't drain properly. We suspect our builder got lazy and put some grout down there. We assume this as we found grout in the ubend in the kitchen sink. We are wondering what can be done to dislodge it without ripping up all the marble flooring. They have used push fit plastic pipes. Thanks for any advice you can give

Hi Anna, that is really quite upsetting to here that other tradesmen are this lazy. The only thing you can try is to breakdown the grout. It is comprised of Portland cement and notoriously difficult to breakdown. You can try brick acid or go to a tile shops and ask for grout remover / acid. PLEASE BE VERY VERY CARFUL AS THIS STUFF WILL HURT YOUR SKIN AND DAMAGE CLOTHES ETC. If in doubt ask a professional to assist. Hope this helps Connor

Hi Anna I can only tell you what would happen if I ever did anything as stupid as that I would get a phone call from my customer to come and sort the problem out quite right too

What would you like to do now?
