The problem you may find is that if you have paid a majority of the money and there is still alot of work to do or to be corrected it may be like climbing a hill against the wind. Sometimes the best thing to do is to cut it short and seek out a reputable company that can complete and rectify the works. It will cost you some more of your hard earned money and may take abit longer but in my experience its better to complete a job correctly rather than to settle for substandard works. We have carried out jobs where the whole bathroom has had to be ripped out and redone as a result of poor workmanship by previous tradsmen. First step is to carry out what Peter has suggested and if you feel intimidated then get a family member or friend to come along to the meeting to assist you.
