Repointing

Posted by Toby Knight, on
How much per sq m should repointing set me back. 1970s house, mortar is quite weathered in places. Doesn't the fact that the mortar is brittle mean it will be more expensive.

Good evening Toby. The condition of the existing mortar shouldn't make any difference to the price. You should expect to pay between 40 pounds and 60 pounds per square meter. This should include a full rake out of the existing joints to a depth of approximately 20mm. Scaffolding costs will be additional. Good luck. Nathan. FOCALPOINT
