Timber frame under composite decking has shrunk in heat

Posted by Rebecca Finlayson, on
Hi. We have laid composite decking on top of a wooden timber frame in our garden. The problem is we have not had much rain and have had extremely high temperatures, therefore the ground has become so dry it has cracked and moved, causing the timber frame to move and the decking now also. Any advice on what we should do next please? Will it recover on its own or should we adjust it now?

Hi Obviously the frame is not standard and the decking supports should be concrete and joist at least 6'/2' and bolted together Using composite it should be easy to undo and restore You may need to redo the decking all toghether Good Luck Regards peter CFC LIMITED
