Zinsser B-I-N sealer & stain killer is the best on the market, dries just in 15 minutes, recoatable in 45 minutes. Only problem with this sealer is - you have to use cheap brushes as you can't clean them after. In my opinion i would avoid to use undercoat or any oil based paint because it take ages to dry and it's really hard to cover with the top paint afterwards. Hope this helps.

You need to seal the stain before re painting. Stain block, aerosol or brush, is effective but relatively expensive, any oil based paint will do, undercoat or egshell dry quickest, gloss will need at least 24 hrs to dry. Zinniser do a good range of primer sealers, some water based, some meths based and they are excellent and fast drying. Kind regards Paul

put some oil white undercoat where the marks are let it dry few hours, better a night, and paint over, alternatively use stain block
