Painting external UPVC doors

Can you paint a brown UPVC door a dark grey colour? I see there are UPVC primers on the market. what topy of paint do you then use over the top? Bad idea??

Never a good idea to paint any sort of plastic, paint just can't stick to it I'm afraid. Kind regards Paul
