Damon... Depending on where you live in the country, your region may or may not have a huge number of Tradespeople for your proposed trade. If your region is limited with such trade, you may find it difficult getting a response. All major cities and districts are fairly overloaded with trades and all works seem to be carried out fairly quickly. Unfortunately there is a major shortage of quality qualified Tradespeople within every trade in the United Kingdom, whether you are using this website or others, or just calling through word of mouth or other responsive advertising. As a consumer it can be a pain, but you do need to hunt around. Emergency works can be even more frustrating given the urgency, my advice is; if you find a quality tradesperson, keep them.
