Electrics for a new build house - most common way of being charged?

Posted by Shannon , on
I have been given a quote for doing all the electrics in my new build house which works on a per point basis. i.e. per switch, light, socket etc which includes the wiring, labour and point. Is this a normal way to price the electrical work for a new build house? And if so, is there an average rate that I should consider per point?

Depends where you live to be honest. Here in South Wales for a 3/4 bedroom terraced house we’d usually charge somewhere around £3000. Although in London, you’d probably pay that for an outside light to be installed.
