I have just brought a house and ripped the carpet up and found woodworm in the floor and in some off the places and in one place I was sat on the floor and went to turn around and put my hand on the floor board and my thumb whent through the floor

You need a woodworm specialist urgently and then a flooring specialist to replace any joist and floor areas. Sounds expensive but most likely can be sorted relatively cost effectively and with the right treatment permanently.

Hi Adam. Sadly, this could be major! Woodworm live in timbers for years, if you've put your thumb through! It's pretty major. Think of what a heavy object would do!! Get specialists in to asses the condition, but by the sounds it's all new floors, joists possible.

What would you like to do now?
