Bleaching medium oak engineered floorboards

Posted by Diana Herve, on
We had a new floor laid a couple of years ago in a medium oak, engineered floorboards. They are far too 'orange' for my liking - not sure how i ever chose them! However i want to find out if there is a way of removing the tone of the boards to lighten them? thanks for your reply....in anticipation!

Hi. In answer to your question is yes. All you have to do is get the floor sanded back to the bare oak and then decide on a stain or just varnish . You can normally sand engineed flooring a couple of times depending on how thick the veneer is. Hope this helps.
