Hi Sadie If this is a new Baxi boiler as you have indicated and you cannot get an joy from your installer, I would contact customer services at Baxi and they will decide if this requires a service call or if you have to phone out the emergency gas service, (which I would probably advise) if this is banging on ignition as you say, this could be classed as immediately dangerous, but obviously without carrying out any tests on the boiler, or being able to hear the boiler start up, or know the calibre of your installer I cant tell you for sure, but I do know, if this is an ignition problem this must be addressed immediately.
