Radiators not heating up

Posted by C J Onye, on
Problem with radiators/central heating system. I have a heat line combi-boiler. The boiler is heating the water fine so the taps give hot water quite alright. Not sure if there is a valve issue or pump issue creating issues with hot water not going to the radiators. All radiators have been bled. Air locks have checked and the pin on all TRVs have been checked and are fine. None of the radiators are heating up so don’t think it’s a system balance issue either.

CJ. If your heating system is more than 10 years old and hasn’t been treated annually both on service and central heating cleaning on a regulator annual basis, there are a number of issues that could be the cause. The most likely is that your pipe work, boiler and radiators are in need of a serious power flush and system clean. Unfortunately this is one issue that could be causing this. More information and a visual inspection is needed. I hope this helps! J Ireland Plumber
