If your heating system is more than 10 years old and hasn’t been treated annually both on service and central heating cleaning on a regulator annual basis, there are a number of issues that could be the cause. The most likely is that your pipe work, boiler and radiators are in need of a serious power flush and system clean. Unfortunately this is one issue that could be causing this.
