I'm switching from Virgin to Freeview. I'm waiting for EE TV Freeview box to be delivered but wanted to check the aerial in loft of my flats was going to work. I disconnected Virgin box and tried just using existing aerial point instead and re-tuned but no channels found. Do I need Freeview box to find channels or should I be able to see channels now. My upstairs neighbour uses same loft aerial - so could cable in the wall have stopped working and need to be replaced ? Don't want to call specialist out if it's an easy fix.
