Moving a BT landline

I am having an extension built and need to move the point where the landline enters the house. This will probably involve having to dig up the cables as they come through the garden (being done anyway to move the gas inlet). BT Openreach want a huge amount just to come and do a survey. Could this be done by any electrician/aerial specialist?

Hi David. You should find that most electrical contractors would be able to do this, and there are also telecommunications contractors that would do it.
