Why is TV signal still poor

Posted by Mark Nixon, on
I recently hooked up our main TV in lounge to our main aerial in the loft ,(it had been connected to an outside aerial on a chimney stack we had removed!) I did initially have a full range of channels through it but after a bit of bad weather a few of were showing the "signal too weak message" I knew the aerial was in the right place as still getting pictures on the other TV. So I shortened the coax cable to take any slack out. I also changed the plugs on both ends as the previous ones were a bit old and rusty, I then checked the TV to find I've got no signal on any channel. There is still full range on the other TV and I tried the antenna without the signal booster! But still no luck! What can I do to get the TV to work?

You need to look at the cable as it might have been broken somewhere a brake that’s one foult , other one is you need to look at the end where it enters the tv,free vew or satellite , the head has to be cleared of any stranded cables , the single Coper has to be clear and put tight to the tv connection, and same on the antenna connection might be a loose hope this helps
