We have a single story extension roof is mono pitch with a central velux window. The roof pitch is between 10 and 15 degrees. Roof was replaced 3 years ago and has leaked randomly ever since (different places, difference volumes of rain). Have had various builders round to quote, all agreed original work really shoddy, wrong roofing material used (slate), dry verge wrong type for slate and flashing poorly fitted. We accept a reproof is required, but we are confused about best long term solution. Some roofers are saying specialist tiles/slates required, others are saying it's best to convert to a flat roof. Esthetics are important so do not really want a flat roof but do not want to waste money again on something that will not be waterproof in the longer term. Any advice please.
