Not a good experience. Quoted £600 to replace 2 pieces of trellis, fix fence posts and do a general garden tidy up. In total he spent 1/2 a day on the job, so very expensive. The garden tidy was ok if cursory. The job on the trellis was unfortunately not adequate. The fence posts weren't secured, so it remained wobbly, leaning to one side, the trellis wasn't on straight and was split in some places by the screws he's used. Less than 3 months later the trellis fell down. He refused to refund for the labour.

Made a total mess of a small extension. Quoted 2 weeks and after 7 I sacked him off as we were going nowhere. Massive list of his work didn’t comply with building regs and ended up fitting a purlin to roof as he used wrong sized joists. I now have bits of roof hanging off after max 30 mph winds Even managed to cock guttering up so down pipe is nowhere near drains. Roof leaking and I have had to sack him off and pay another load of cash to a set of lads who can do the job. Avoid or he’ll bankrupt you

He came out the same day he got in touch to have a look at what needed doing (knocking through between kitchen and living room, RSJ, blocking up/creating doors to other rooms), and we received the quote the next day as promised. The quote was very reasonable and included a full breakdown and labour and materials. Any questions were answered professionally and honestly. I wanted a Church Font removing from my garden and this company performed the task with ease. Both of them disposed of the font and cleared the area with no trouble at all. Cannot praise their work ethic enough, polite, pleasant and courteous. Although the font was large they managed to break it up and take away all the remains. Poor communication and lack of project management skills and honesty leaves something to be desired of this company. A 4 week job turned into a 16 week job due to the fact that the sub contractor was not released monies to purchase materials although I paid a hefty 30% deposit and further 30% before up to roof level. I would recommend Carl the sub contractor that did the work but wouldn't recommend CM Masonry. The sub contractor did a good job thankfully so the end result is good.
