Tom came to skim my son's ceiling but because it had old artex and very uneven he decided to put a false ceiling in, board that and then skim it. Tom is a really friendly guy, kept showing me where he was up to in the job and was very tidy and did a great overall job at a good price. Wouldn't hesitate to use Tom again or recommend to friends and family.
Hi I have been a joiner for a little over 10 years now, I did my apprenticeship as a bench joiner so attention to detail is key for me. Me and Oskar my apprentice always finish jobs to a high standard. As with Stuart my painter who's eye for detail is second to none We have public liability so are insured for all jobs we take on. Mark (MSW Joinery) came out the day after I posted the add, to survey the job. He gave me a very reasonable quote and time frame to complete the works I wanted. Reasonable job but following issues. 1) Expensive maybe 30% higher than competition feel ripped off. 2) wall corners are showing large cracks after only 1 week. 3) I had to ask for them to clean up after themselves and also put dust sheets down at the start. 4) Offered hose so they could mix away from the house, but they refused and proceeded to mix holding bucket up the wall damaging my box hedging. 5) rendered walls have not been done below skirting board level, so i need to fill gaps myself in the wall.

Unfortunately I am not able to recommend Jon for plastering work. The quality of the plastering he recently completed was well below expectations and has required significant rework to correct. Jon is a decent guy but his main trade is plumbing.
