George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. With over 60 years experience of the building trade between us. Always happy to survey and assess customers needs before quoting to make sure we and our customers are happy with the work to be done.
Job done to a good standard. However, still awaiting certificate. Messaged a few times and they said it was in the post but still nothing received.
They said they would take almost all day, but then announced they'd finished after 90 minutes (allowing for 30 minutes when they went away to buy petrol). They hacked a hydrangea I asked them not to touch, left many weeds and fallen leaves, cut off the tops of shrubs without attempting any shaping, and left one tall shrub untrimmed. Then they charged me £350 for 90 minutes of work by two men and a boy.

I would definitely recommend. I love the new porch, and it makes me smile when coming home. Dave was very helpful, and talked about what changes I might want, listened and came up with answers. He kept me in the loop throughout the build, and updates on when to expect him to arrive. I would have no hesitation in recommending him for any carpentry work based on the work he has done for me, so much so, I have asked him to quote for a couple of other jobs I need doing. Overall I am very pleased with the job.
