Craig got in touch quickly, gave me a rough estimate over the phone and answered all my questions. Surveyor arrived on time, gave instant quote. Price was good. Michael and (another) Craig turned up to do the job on the day, time given. Good, tidy job. Can't fault anything, from start to finish!! Would recommend!

George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. John capped, rendered and made good the lead work on our chimney, he also replaced badly worn roofing felt along the eaves with the addition of " Felt Support Trays" which help stop the new felt from rotting. His work was of a high standard as he takes pride in doing a good job. John and Bobby always left the job clean and tidy after each shift.
Phil from Greenbank joinery quoted an outstanding price for the job, I was able to make the decision to hire him immediately based on the initial visit to discuss the work and the price I would pay on completion. I'd highly recommend Alan and Kieron from ADK Building. They installed our bathroom to a very high standard from the plumbing through to tiling, installing underfloor heating and constructing custom made shelving to overcome a challenging job. Alan is very friendly, helpful and polite, he discussed the requirements in detail and any unforeseen problems were explained and dealt with. The work area was left clean and tidy each day.
Two Mills Property Services was started by myself, Mike Howard, in 2014. On 24th October 2016, I opened an account with Rated People. At the time of writing, I have undertaken 21 Rated People jobs since I signed up, with 18 ratings/reviews for those jobs. I currently have a total of 79 stars out of a possible maximum of 80 stars. Most of my first 18 reviews are for joinery work. One is for a Man and Van job. For 2019, I hope to secure staircase-related work; specifically, railing assemblies (balustrading). I can be flexible on times/days, evenings no problem. As for charges, hourly/daily rate or a written estimate, it depends on several factors, including the nature of the work and the extent to which the job has been assessed by myself. Free home visits are available for properties within about a five-mile radius of Chester city centre. Estimates are valid for 14 days. I prefer to communicate by email or some other written form. Trips to retailers, for materials: I generally don't charge a mark-up but I reserve the right to do so. I always present receipts to the homeowner. Disposal of discarded material: I do not currently have a licence so I'm unable to offer this service. But I've cut doors in half so that the pieces can be put into a car. Had ceiling plastered and painted, all painting and wallpapering done. Friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble. His team (who I expect where family members, but I may be wrong) both where excellent. Work completed to a high standard, Remi promised a finish date and they stayed late on completion day to achieve this. Remi also done another job for me at a fraction of the cost I was quoted. I am having some more work done in a couple of months and wouldn't hesitate to use his team again.Recomended.

Richard has done a good job painting our garden fences with preservative. One possible drawback is reviews of preservative chosen by Richard suggests it is of poor quality so may not last too long. Job took a long time from initial enquiry due to very wet and windy weather all winter, but I was kept informed of delays throughout. Happy to recommend Richard.

Peter was an excellent worker. He came to quote incredibly quickly and sourced the materials and finished the job two days after. He arrived on time, kept me informed about costs and worked hard. He cleaned up as he went along and was polite and courteous. He provided great value for money too. I would definitely hire him again.
Very happy with the work carried out, assisted greatly in getting everything sorted as we manage the site from an hour away so were unable to actually meet them on site.

Cleared the gutters as requested but failed to remedy the leaks from gutters and failed to return to review again.

Mark and his apprentice turned up on time, erected their scaffolding and repaired the lead on the back of the chimney. It took less time than he thought and adjusted the price accordingly. Having his own scaffolding makes a huge difference to both the price and timescale. Definitely recommended.
