Quoted on our work, which was accepted and deposit paid. Then four weeks out from the agreed start date, said he'd forgotten to include costs for a full roof replacement (hip to gable extension) so it would be almost ÂŁ30,000 more than the original price. We could not move forward, and ÂŁ2,500 of our deposit was not returned to us as steels had already been purchased and cut (but he refused to connect us with the supplier so we could retain these for use in our project).
My career in roofing began in 1978, predominately on new build developments. In 1987, although continuing with the new builds, I began to branch out into domestic roofing. This included re-roofs, extensions, repairs and leak investigation. Alongside this, in 2010 I took a Contracts Manager position with a national roofing company, In this role I am responsible for the labour and materials required for various developments in the South East. It is also part of my role to oversee the customer service team. My contacts within the industry enable me to obtain very competitive prices on materials. I also have a large labour resource to carry out even the bigger jobs.

Unfortunately I disagree. I posted this as one job and can prove this so will be taking this further. I also paid most of the money. Scott only called back after the tenant was fed up of the job being left unfinished for many many months. He also left a ceiling light hanging which was a health and safety concern and refuses to provide his insurance details.
