Welcome to McCartney building I am a multi skilled trades man that has been running for around 8 years. This is the first time I have used a site like this and only just signed up and have no ratings, so please don’t be worried about that. Before COVID most off my work come from word of mouth which is always the best way, but due to COVID work has started to slow down and looking to pick back up hence being new to rated people. I take every job serious and always do over and beyond for my clients, to make sure they have the best experience and hassle free while the work is carried out. NOT A QUALIFIED BUILDER! Promised to complete all work in 4 days. Arrived after 11am each day. Insisted on full payment or wouldn't complete work, so I paid in full. Pergola not installed. Waited another week, I asked to be refunded for unfinished work; he refused, I Kept his tools until refunded. He threatened to destroy my garden. I returned tools but no refund given. Poor-quality work. Didn't use whacker to level ground; it was very uneven. Had to remove grass to have it relayed correctly.

8 months after install the gutter had warped and was spilling water. Luke was initially happy to install a couple extra brackets - 3 times he set dates to do the work then didn't turn up and didn't let me know he wasn't coming. I had to pay someone else to fix this job.

Gary and his team have done a fantastic job installing a new roof, fitting new guttering, along with sofits and facias, His quote was the best value and most honest from the many we had, Gary kept us informed of the progress throughout the installation, he kept his work area tidy and left no mess when the job was completed. I would definitely recommend Gary and his team for all the services he has to offer, he's a lovely genuine guy that goes the extra mile for his customers.
