This tiler completed most of the work but failed to turn up to finish the bathroom despite being paid, obviously in retrospect I should not have paid until completion. He does not answer phone or text messages. His colleague did laminate flooring and after they had gone my builder pointed out a lot of bad workmanship.

Did everything as asked, turned up on time and kept me informed of progress and finishing time, the new tiled floor looks great.

Awful experience with this tradesman - not only did the cost keep rising the finish was amateur at best. Further to the poor finish and half done job this professional tradesman cut two central heating pipes beneath the floorboards leaving them uncapped - this subsequently led to hot water pouring into the house when the central heating was switched on. After an emergency visit from British Gas and two nights away from home with our new born baby the pipes were repaired - hole still left in the floor.

This is a very unfair rate. As a tradesmen i would never cut a pipe and leave it uncapped. Those pipes were cut before and left under the floor,impossible for someone to see them. Just because someone else did a mistake there, i cannot be held responsible and be asked to repair the damage and pay for it plus the cost of the whole job. That's just wrong.
