Homeowners can save money through more efficient water use

Britons might wish to call in plumbers in Brighton in order to tackle water efficiency within their homes, if they are to save money in the long run.

The Consumer Council for Water has urged people to think more carefully about the amount of liquid they are using in their properties. As well as considering the environmental aspect of high consumption, people are advised that they could enjoy significant economic benefits should they be more efficient.

Dame Yve Buckland, chair of the council, said: “Taking a few minutes to consider whether you are able to benefit from some simple efficiency tips could pay off in the long run.” A more efficient water set-up can result in not only a reduction in water bills but also a downturn in energy invoices, as less heating is required.

It was recently decided by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills that a Green Construction Board is to be set up to drive sustainability in the building sector.
