Taps on acrylic bath

Posted by Tunde , on
I just got our bathroom fitted and the taps on the bath move when you push or pull it. I complained and they came to look at it and said the tap is securely fitted and that if they are pulled/pushed there will be some movement as the  bath is acrylic and has some play in it. I have never seen taps not sturdy on baths or sinks. Can you advise please so I know what to do or how to handle this? Thanks a million

Tunde... the trades people of whom fitted the taps for you have not completed the job to the proper trade standard, hence why there is movement on the taps. And for them producing a lie of acrylic baths is just down right unprofessional. Never heard so much rubbish in my life! They should maybe consider a change in career going by the sound of it! Hi, you could try a product called top hats. They are a small plastic piece that fits over the thread before screwing the nut on. These usually seem to work and are very inexpensive. Kind regards Stuart Maroonblue
