Work to the front of a Victorian property

Posted by Helen Kirkpatrick, on
I need a quote for the work below, and would ideally like a quote from a tradesman who can do it all. Is a builder the best tradesman to quote? Thank you for your help, Helen Front bay roof Cover existing flashings with lead Porch roof Check condition of felt and flashing Repair front porch (remove buddleia, resolve drainage issues down the pillars and onto the bay window, stucco and render generally as per the rest of the front) Chimneys Check and provide cowl inserts to open redundant pots Rainwater goods Clear out gutter and check gutter joints and fixings of cast iron downpipe back to the brickwork External walls Repoint brickwork Replace missing brick (top left hand side of middle window top floor) Check gaps around boiler flue where it penetrates the brickwork (signs of water damage to the brickwork from a discharging overflow - all serving the top floor flat). Check not an ongoing boiler defect and repair if required. Make good around flue penetration using a proprietary collar External joinery Redecorate painted softwood timber fascia and soffitt Replace section of soffitt and fit eaves guard to flue (where there is peeling paintwork to soffitt directly above boiler due to hot gases) External decorations Full decoration to all joinery items like doors. Stucco render & render generally. Concrete and stone sills, stucco rendered columns and stone plinths to portico.
