Room 1 I would like to replace a large window with a smaller one, the remaining gap bricked up. Room 2 I would like to replace a small window with a larger one, a lintel would also need to be installed cost? for labour only

Hi we have had doors and windows installed and porch put on, we complained about damaged hinges scratches to frames, lots of other issues, Mess left, tiles broke in bathrooms, wrong handles fitted, porch tiles ordered wrong windows too big, a catalogue of events. They assured me all would be completed to a high dtanfard on the last day of installation. They didn't do it. Even so far as window board we ordered for landing window not changed. Gave them another chance they came back out replaced some hinges, and sanded out alot of the damage in the doors but still there is some damage. Hinge still damaged on hall door. Scratch on the pvc frame. I have had enough now of telling them and asking them. a 4 day job is 5 weeks. what are my rights here as I haven't paid them yet

Hi there I recently got a double glazing company to replace 14 pains of glass paid a deposit of 1000 on 2nd last week of July and agreed that windows would be done on the 21st of August on the days leading up till that I must have tried to call 20 times to confirm a time and I got no answer also text no reply then on the morning off fitting they finally answered and gave me so bull about it being his daughter's wedding and that would last a week so after a lot of argument was getting nowhere so had to swallow it and wait till following week then same thing trying to ring no answer till the morning of fitting asking to move to the next day I said absolutey no way so agreed to come wouldn't give a time and didn't turn up till 2.30 so another day of work they turn up house has been refurbished and they stand all over newly glossed window sills and drag mucky boot all through the house no clean up had to do it also had to repaint window will then they leave half the window not fitted all the wrong size we organise another day a week later they come back do 3 windows and the rest of the new ones they bring wrong size again so organise another day again a week later do all window except 1 doesn't fit so the say they will come back in an hour with a solution don't come back for about 4 hours so that leaves them still there on the Saturday at 5pm and not once during this whole ordeal did they call me to say when they would come they never answered the phone and would just turn up and say where are you we are here but as soon as they had the last window fitted he was straight on the blower looking for the rest of the money 500 pound won't give any refund well I think a lost 4 days off work because of these clowns so should be some compensation any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have to seat by a window that a college insists is constantly open. Even when the weather is good I'm seating in a slight draft as it faces into an area that traps the breeze. Is there anything on the market I can get, that will allow air into the office but reduce the breeze/wind. winter is coming & the college is very stubborn about closing it

For building warrant sign off we have been asked to improve the sealant/weatherproofing around the windows which were installed about 18months ago as there are some gaps. What sort of job is this, not sure who to ask? Thanks.

I have a pair of wooden slate Blinds. For some reason they don't close properly and therefore I would want someone to have a look at these and fix them. Having looked into the blinds I can see there is a bit of string which is stuck preventing the blinds from closing.

The company is not replying to my emails to arrange for a repair to be made to my rear door multilock system. I called them and the manager was trying to verbally change the T's and C's. I explained the terms and conditions but he was still not helpful or accepting of the terms and conditions given to me at the time of sale/ installation. I contacted citizens advice and then contacted the company by email due the difference in fact of the repair needed. Is there any other official bodies I can contact to back me up to show the window company I am not budging from the warranty terms.
