Shah was so reliable, experienced and polite. He made suggestions that helped us without pressuring us into anything or imposing on us. The work was all carried out as agreed quickly and he worked long days to get it all done. The changes we made were added onto our bill at the end and were far lower than I had been expecting. Came very quickly and completed the job (like-for-like electric shower replacement) satisfactorily, my only gripe is the price/cost. Said it would be about £250 - £350 at the start, on completion of the job the price had gone up to £480 and he wanted it in cash. Not much I could do when the job's finished and the guy's standing in the house wanting to be paid. On reflection I feel I have been overcharged and should have waited for the other responses to come in but needed it doing.

The previous review was done under duress with Billy standing over me. The truth is, he disappears for considerable lengths of time (days), leaves equipment behind so you can't hire anyone else, switches his phone off so you can't contact him during this time and has the attitude of a bully. He removed our toilet to fix a blocked pipe but then left it so it wasn't fixed back to the floor properly and moved around, when we were in the process of selling our flat, with surveyors coming round. Not recommended.

Mike worked with his son Silas. What a really nice pair. Genuine, polite and got on with the job even though I asked for a few tweaks along the way. Both very old school and worked at their own pace - happy with work carried out and will use them again. Reasonable price too.

GLS review From the initial enquiry for works , the response from GLS was quick promptly followed by a site visit to assess the work. The scope of work was broken down clearly against the costs and this was detailed. We had a kitchen fitted from flat pack including work tops and a lot of electric appliances and gas hob. And, a downstairs shower room which has been partially started – sink , shower and toilet installed plus finishings. The work carried out was of a good standard , the fitter arrived on time
