Came very quickly and completed the job (like-for-like electric shower replacement) satisfactorily, my only gripe is the price/cost. Said it would be about £250 - £350 at the start, on completion of the job the price had gone up to £480 and he wanted it in cash. Not much I could do when the job's finished and the guy's standing in the house wanting to be paid. On reflection I feel I have been overcharged and should have waited for the other responses to come in but needed it doing.

We had them in to install insulation in our upstairs floor, replace the sub floor, replace some lights, install a loft hatch, and board out our loft. On top of this they discovered a problem in our roof that they fixed. We were incredibly impressed by all of the staff that attended on site. They were friendly, polite at all times, and worked really hard, to a high standard. I couldn't recommend James and his team more, and we've already started talking to them about a further project.

DNC Carpentry and fit out was establish in 2014 by Dumitru Creanga who has over 20 years experience of site carpentry. We offer supply and fit services for kitchens and fitted wardrobes to maximize every millimeter of your space in high ceilings rooms, tailor-made wardrobes to fit exact contours of your space and sloping ceilings, understairs cupboards where storage space is just waiting to be created, landing and hallways creating storage where you didn't think you could have it. The company has over 20 experienced carpenters who have to demonstrate to meet DNC Carpentry and fit out high standards before being allowed to join the company. All of our carpenters hold CSCS cards as a minimum and undergo a continual programme of training. We're very proud of our products with an obsessive attention to joinery. I have good prices and my prime trade is plastering
I went with this person because I thought their price was really good but I got what I paid for. The plastering is all completely uneven, with gouges out of it it lots of places. Around the plug sockets was left as big holes so I had to go round and fill them all myself (about 10 sockets). The room was left in a complete state with plaster all over the floor and window. I was also told I would be sent an invoice, then on the day was asked over to pay by bank transfer before I had even seen the work.

Placed advert Thursday. Contacted same day by Mike with a view to coming out and quoting next day. Came on time priced the job on Friday and arranged to start work on the Tuesday. Mike worked with his son Silas. What a really nice pair. Genuine, polite and got on with the job even though I asked for a few tweaks along the way. Both very old school and worked at their own pace - happy with work carried out and will use them again. Reasonable price too.
