AVOID AT ALL COSTS I can't recommend Tom. Previously TH&Jones Ltd he has changed the company name. He has left us with an extension that doesn't meet building regulations and needs to be taken down. Our house unsalable. I have an independent report to support it. Insufficient foundation, no damp course, insufficient insulation, incorrect installation of roof. He said he would rectify if we paid for 'things unquoted' but failed to show exactly what. We haven't heard from him in months. Stay away!!

My first two builds were complete builds from the ground up, so I had to seek out and get trades on-site to complete work I didn’t have the skills for. Over time I have carried out all sorts of work over the past few years from Setting out a site, Groundworks, Blockwork, Construction, Timber work/studding, Plaster boarding, Fitting kitchens and Bathroom, as well as Wooden Flooring and Tiling, and of course decorating. I leave plumbing, electrical work and plastering to the trades ( and have good contacts ) – but I have a good eye for detail but enjoy fitting kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting, and painting.

The subtext in his response, Sheridan openly accepts he didn�t complete the work but that�s okay because in his view it wasn�t essential. So if you want an amateur that quotes for and accepts a job, can�t stick to deadlines or manage the trades he uses to deliver to the estimated amount and after all of that decides what is and isn�t important, Shez is your man!! Otherwise avoid.

He renovated a bathroom: boarded the staircase slope, plastered, tiled, updated electrics and fitted all sanitary ware. He levelled and laid the wooden floor, fitted skirting boards, installed 7 sliding pocket door systems with oak doors, and adjusted radiators/plumbing. Outstanding workmanship and quality. Coopers provided an excellent service. Jack came and reviewed the problem, showing me photos of the leak and damage, and gave various options and prices of what I could do. In the end, I decided on a full roof replacement along with guttering and soffits. I got them to fit a Velux window and sun tunnel too. The project management was excellent. Scaffolding came within a day and work started following Monday. The job was completed in four days to a professional standard. Highly recommended.

I hired this contractor to install laminate flooring and skirting boards, and I am extremely disappointed with the result. The finish looks amateurish, with visible gaps and poorly cut edges. To make matters worse, the price was initially agreed at £300, but once the work was 'finished,' he demanded £400 without prior notice. Since then, he has stopped responding to my calls and messages for weeks regarding necessary repairs. Save yourself the stress and hire a real professional instead.
