Thanks Paul, here is how I see it from a customers perspective. I waited over two weeks for an estimate and had to chase. You said you were off sick and immediately sent me an estimate for £395 . I costed the parts and they were around £70 so you were charging £325 for labour. I reckoned it was a 2hr job and have since had work done and just under 2hrs at a total cost of £190. So in my simple head you were charging £160/hour for labour versus £60/hour . Just tell customers the truth if job too small

We had this with Pawel. Everything was explained well. The job was not rushed. He took time to assess, review and evaluate. He kept us informed throughout the work. Price was reasonable also. James came out to provide a quote and was quite pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately after accepting the job he quit answering messages so we had to find another workman. I'd guess he found a bigger project, which would have been fine if he'd let us know.
