What a comedy of errors, unable to list full story due to word count, in brief changed price 2 days before job was supposed to start, then turned up and asked for money, no mention of this before, please make sure you get everything in writing before you proceed, can’t comment on workmanship as told him not to come back, Beware.

Not a good experience. Quoted £600 to replace 2 pieces of trellis, fix fence posts and do a general garden tidy up. In total he spent 1/2 a day on the job, so very expensive. The garden tidy was ok if cursory. The job on the trellis was unfortunately not adequate. The fence posts weren't secured, so it remained wobbly, leaning to one side, the trellis wasn't on straight and was split in some places by the screws he's used. Less than 3 months later the trellis fell down. He refused to refund for the labour.

Made a total mess of a small extension. Quoted 2 weeks and after 7 I sacked him off as we were going nowhere. Massive list of his work didn’t comply with building regs and ended up fitting a purlin to roof as he used wrong sized joists. I now have bits of roof hanging off after max 30 mph winds Even managed to cock guttering up so down pipe is nowhere near drains. Roof leaking and I have had to sack him off and pay another load of cash to a set of lads who can do the job. Avoid or he’ll bankrupt you

I received a prompt response for my job posted. I had a leak in my bathroom and it was identified that the water was leaking through the silicon seal. The job didn't take that long to redo the silicon and only a part of silicon was removed and redone. In three weaks it again started leaking from the same area as it was not done properly. I wouldn't have worried paying £90 for that job if it had not occurred again. However, I had to hire someone to redo the silicon layer again. Which is a bit disappointing.

He came out the same day he got in touch to have a look at what needed doing (knocking through between kitchen and living room, RSJ, blocking up/creating doors to other rooms), and we received the quote the next day as promised. The quote was very reasonable and included a full breakdown and labour and materials. Any questions were answered professionally and honestly. I decided not to go ahead with the installation as I have put my property on the market instead.
