We employed Combat DIY to help renovate and decorate an old thatched we bought north of Blandford. We needed a wide variety of jobs doing, decorating , plastering , some woodwork in the bathrooms, tiling. Work was of a very high standard throughout. We paid by the day as the job was impossible to cost. It was very good value for money, thoroughly recommended.

I would recommend Simon Hall without any hesitation. He and his assistant, also named Simon were very professional, friendly, obliging and competent. Nothing was too much for them. They were punctual and completed the job on time. They cleaned after the work every day before they left and on completion. We are very satisfied with the end product at a very reasonable price. James Morris did some structural work for us, converting our separate kitchen and lounge into an open-plan kitchen. He also converted a guest loo into a laundry and did some other minor renovation works. His customer service skills are outstanding and the quality of workmanship is excellent. He and his team have a very good work ethic and were very happy to work through weekends at our request to expedite the job. I would recommend him without reservation, and will definitely use him again in the future.

Paul and his team did a fantastic job decorating our entire house top to bottom. Turned up early every day over 2 week period until the work was finished Paul provided most of the materials so we did not have to go shopping about and we felt we got real value for money M33

Darren provided practical solutions to an unusual build, and a proper estimate. As the work was about to start the spec' changed a few times, and Darren was helpful with that. We agreed a new price and signed a straightforward agreement. Security was never an issue - we had no issue with giving Darren keys and access. He turned up when he said he would and always went through the issues of the day and the progress of the day on site and on the phone. The project has worked out really well, and it has been a very good working relationship. We have no hesitation in recommending Darren - he was helpful throughout, including managing the occassional curved ball. He runs work from a joinery led perspective, and has a wide range of understanding about the other trades and what should happen when. A pleasure to work with!
