We are two Italians, Alberto and Nick, who have many years experience of carrying out home improvements to a high standard in Italy. Nick has worked as a quantity surveyor for more than 20 years and has helped develop many homes and businesses. Alberto has a flair for design (evidenced by also being a qualified chef!) and specialises in tiling. Together we make a great team and have brought over our combined skills over to England. Coming from traditional Italian families, we give great importance to creating the perfect home environment for their customers. Nothing is better than coming home and relaxing in a space that is designed with your specific needs met – your home is the centre of your universe - that’s why it matters to us. We always give our best because for us creating a home is an art. Our quote was higher than others as we quoted to coat the stairs three times with a high quality varnish because they were in such a bad way, however the customer did not want to pay for this so we kindly matched the other quote, and this was only to put one coat of mid range varnish on. As with all previously painted low grade pine to achieve a good even finish you need to build on the layers and this customer did not want to pay for this. On finishing this job we had advised the customer that additional coats were needed and offered to do them at a reduced price. The flooring as mentioned by the customer is good and we also matched a lower quote for this.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Jeff Payne of South West Stone to anyone. Mr Payne was punctual. Mr Payne was a pleasure to have working at my home. The bonus was that he thoroughly cleaned up any mess he made which was indeed minimal! Nothing was too much trouble and he was extremely helpful. The work done appears to be all I wanted. Overall I am very pleased.
Dan did a fantastic job fitting our Ikea kitchen worktops. He was very friendly, his work was excellent and his quote was very reasonable indeed. We would highly recommend him and would happily get him to do work for us again.
