George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. Bellhurst Construction gave me a very detailed quote and were able to start the job promptly. Darrel worked with me on adjusting he quote in order to prioritise the things that needed the most attention. We were held up a few days by the weather initially, but once things were underway I was very happy with how things progressed. The team were polite and worked hard through some of the hottest days of the year! The end result is wonderful and really makes the most of the garden.

After initially posting for a small garden job at home, instead spontaneously requesting a quote to inspect the condition of a roof on a commercial property. Jesse recommended installing replacement rain goods. These works led to the discovery of a serious issue, that he and his team were immediately able to address, using incredibly high standards of workmanship, culminating in a substantial roof upgrade. We specialise in urgent response repairs on insurance claims where flooding, subsidence and other problems occur.
This was one of those jobs that had various problems from the start. Having said that SMS did put them all right without complaint. The quote given for the clearing of the site AND the complete redesign was excellent. The original deadline was missed by a long way primarily due to misjudging the anomalies of the site (eg the underlying concrete was a lot thicker than anticipated). SMS were slow in clearing the site after the work was done - it took almost three weeks before the last of the rubble and debris were moved. Overall, I am pleased with the work done and the final result and would be prepared to use them again.

Main task of laying wood was top class. Reasons for the mixed review: - As part of cost, was promised beading that would colour match the wood, but he turned up with different colour beading and it was left to me to varnish it - door needed to be trimmed because the wooden floor was at a raised height - was cut incorrectly. He promised to return and fix the door and lay a bridge to the carpeted hallway if I paid him in full which I did. Despite me following up, he never returned which I find dishonest.
