They were really professional compared to the other builders that came and contacted me. The Project Manager was also on hand to answer any questions I had and offered me adviced on how best to move forward. We ended up refurbishing our entire bathroom which is looking great now. Terrible: Floor level 20mm too high on upstairs extension Screed floor of incorrect composition, relaid twice, still wrong. Roof plate too high Damp in new dining room Leaking shower enclosure Cheap plasterboard used in shower and not board quoted for Plastering up to 35mm out when spirit level put against wall Wrong gutters used Reveals not square Poor quality brickwork French doors poorly fitted Untidy The list is endless and has resulted in contract termination and a new builder doing the job properly.

John didn't carry out the work for me in the end, as the quote for materials far exceeded estimate given. However, he attended the property the very next day I think, he measured up and gave guidance as to what I needed to buy which was very helpful.

Thank you for your response. With regard to budget the category "up to £100" is the lowest limit one can specify on this site, with regard to VAT there was never any suggestion that this should not be paid. My husband accepted and paid your bill at the time it is only subsequently that we have found out from others that this was an excessive amount to be charged for this work. Our mistake was not getting a number of quotes before instructing you to do the work. We will not make this mistake again.
