Kevin came round after hours and measured up. Two days later he was here fitting 2 new poles and 2 new shelves took him just over an hour. He even gave a hint to keep my doors in motion rather than adding more costs to something that didnt need doing.

Delighted with Brian - he got stuck in traffic but kept me posted as to where he was. Quoted a really good price which was half I was expecting so met him in the middle. Will definitely get him back again for a bigger job when budget permits.

The team first gave a competative quote for the work. A good start! They turned up on time, and then paid attention to my requirements before starting the job. They worked hard and efficiently together to get the job done. 7:30 AM to 18:00 without a break. The result was to professional standards. Would I recommend them? Yes, very much so! In fact I'm already planning to get them back to do another project for me. I think that statement really says it all.

MBC have been unprofessional due to their unreliability, failing to complete the work and taking 4 months to do a job which was estimated to take 10 days. Whilst removing a bathroom the ceiling collapsed, they ruptured a water pipe damaging new kitchen although it was repaired.They have failed to replace the new sink which they cracked, left spotlights unfinished in bedroom, loft access and fireplace hearth unfinished. Martin has apparently been a project manager but his time management is appalling.

I found Darren to be friendly and professional. His quotes were reasonable. The jobs changed slightly once the work started and Darren took the time to explain the options. Some changes required additional money from me but I was happy to pay as the end result was worth it. I would definitely ask Darren for quotes in the future.

Shortly after finishing our renovation the floor began to lift, after a 2-year battle and almost court they admitted it was a fitting fault. Not ideal for a 12k job. Now our sink has fallen in, turns out he has used the world's smallest bit of wood and some sealant to fix it to the underside of our granite worktops rather than correctly fitting it using the fixings on the actual sink. Add to this, gaps between drawers and misaligned cupboards and you get the idea.

This tiler completed most of the work but failed to turn up to finish the bathroom despite being paid, obviously in retrospect I should not have paid until completion. He does not answer phone or text messages. His colleague did laminate flooring and after they had gone my builder pointed out a lot of bad workmanship.

We have found drainage problems which the insurance company will not honour due to incorrect installation during this project. This has cost us dearly.

I didn't have the work done. They came across as unprofessional and pushy. I can't coment on the quality of the work but I can coment on the quote process. Just verbal price. When I pushed for an email quote I just got the price again and little else. Nothing about what they were going to do as part of the job. I expect better. The last few tradesmen I have had on Rated have been excellent full written quotes and professional from the start. These guys even had to ask if they could borrow a tape measure!

Original work in painting walls & ceiling of bedroom was good & we would have given five stars in each category. However, after finishing & being paid in full, the following evening we found a broken blind slat. The reply to my email about this said "I'll pop in tonight on the way home for you". As it was a 'no show', I sent an email saying "As you didn't come this evening, what's the situation?". There has been no response to this and this has affected our ratings in all categories.

I can't give 0 stars. If I could I would. After starting the project they got caught in the storms in Jan, laid a patio and took up grass. They then left and never came back, leaving the garden in a right state. Since Feb i rang numerous times, left messages and text, they never replied. We have had to replace 4 slabs as they have popped, which when we did remove them found they had been laid on mortar and dirt. The patio they laid is not level and pools water outside the back door. DONT GO WITH THEM
